Commercial Vehicle Operator/CDL Course Description: This program covers a 4-week program that prepares individuals to test for a Louisiana Commercial Vehicle Operator license. The CDL program is a 200-hour, four-week course, Monday through Friday for eight hours per day. The CDL/CVO course is designed to prepare individuals for the CDL state licensing test. It covers online theory which includes safe driving procedures, trip planning, logging hours, coupling/uncoupling, identifying defects, shifting manual transmissions, and more. The hands-on portion of this class includes pre-trip, backing, and driving to prepare students for the CDL test.
